Before pouring the cake batter, always grease the tin using melted butter and dust it using plain flour. Spread the flour uniformly on the base and sides of the tin. Shake well to get rid of all the excess flour. This will prevent the cake from sticking to the tin and enable it to come off the mould easily.
Perfectly browned onions add value to a dish in more than one way. Whether they are cooked with the recipe, or added later as a garnish, sautéed onions look good and impart a wonderful flavor. However, browning of onions can be time-consuming, as you have to cook them over low or medium heat for at least a few minutes without letting your attention sway. But, by adding a little salt or sugar to the onions while cooking, you can soften and brown them sooner.
Next time when you peel citrus fruits like orange, sweet lime or even lemon remember to grate the peels first. Let them dry and store refrigerated in an airtight container. Sprinkle small quantities over cakes, cookies just before baking or can even add it to salad dressings, ice creams etc for an enhanced rusticity flavor.
